Overview

This Nationally Historic house was purchased for use as a law office.  The plan was to restore the building with original finishes, while updating the space to create a more aesthetically pleasing environment in which to work and receive clientele.  All electrical wiring, plumbing and HVAC systems were updated for proper functionality.  All existing window sashes were replaced with insulated sashes for increased comfort and efficiency.  All damaged fireplace surrounds were replaced and up-fitted with vent-less gas logs.  Carpet was removed throughout the entire house to expose original antique heart pine flooring, which was repaired and refinished. The kitchen was renovated with new appliances, cabinetry and countertops.  All heart pine paneling and woodwork was restored throughout the house.  In order to maintain historical accuracy, all tile, paint, moldings, windows, etc. match the period exactly.  The result is a completely restored, historically accurate Victorian house, which is fully functional as a modern law office.
